BOOK REVIEW SERIES

The Book Review Series is a longstanding tradition and fundraiser for Holly Hall Retirement Community that features reviews and discussions about current best sellers or noteworthy books. Reading the book ahead of the event is never a requirement, though many have chosen to do so after the entertaining review.

2021-2022 Season

This season pays tribute to the Lone Star State with a fantastic line up of local speakers.  The entire season of four reviews runs from October to March, and we hope you will join us for two high-quality and thoughtfully curated virtual literary experiences this fall.  The fall reviews in October and November will be virtual speaker events that can be streamed on your home computer or smart device.  Virtual events are recorded to ensure the best quality possible.  Participants will receive an email with a secure link to stream the review at their convenience.  Plans for the spring events in January and March will be announced in the coming months.

Support Our Residents

Holly Hall has been a constant in the Houston community for over 70 years, and the Book Review Series has raised funds for the Resident Subsidy Program since it began in 1949.  Proceeds from the Series help cover the cost of care for residents who outlive their retirement savings and can no longer afford the full amount of their care as they transition from Independent Living to Assisted Living and then to Healthcare.  As a sponsor or ticket holder, you will give residents the peace of mind that they will receive the same level of support, regardless of individual circumstances.

Become 2021-2022 Sponsor or Season Ticket Holder

As a sponsor or ticket holder, you will have an immense impact on the lives of Holly Hall residents. Sponsorships and tickets for the 2021-2022 season are now available for purchase!
